Where the authority comes from

Control comes in several models here, and the source of it shapes the tone. In Yes Ma'Am it is military rank, with a commanding officer choosing a recruit from the bottom of the base, under a Colonel who owns the rest. In Sworn to the Queen it is the crown, and a law that makes the guard's position fatal while she keeps testing him. In Trespasser of the Sunken Court a princess holds a captured thief's life in her hands and decides to keep him. These are imbalanced setups by design, and the writing presents them as the premise; you should watch them the same way, as fiction about power and its costs.

Domestic and contractual versions

The other two bring the same idea indoors. Not Under My Roof starts with a mother-in-law overruling a bachelor party in front of the entire family, then making a counteroffer in private, with two friends of hers arriving through the back door. It is the broadest, loudest take on this mood. My Wife's Personal Trainer is the interesting exception, because the wife's authority is shared with a husband who writes the program, and you may spend the runtime wondering who actually runs it. On the numbers, four titles are five episodes long, while the base drama runs to thirty. All have two free episodes and a price of twelve tokens per paid one, so try the short ones first unless you already know you want the long haul.
