Token costs: the arithmetic is the easy part
Every reviewed series charges the same twelve tokens per paid episode, so the calculation takes seconds, and the only thing left to think about is how far you actually want to go.
The sums
Two free episodes come first on every title, and everything after that costs twelve tokens an episode. There are only two totals to remember.
- The thirteen five-episode series: three paid episodes, thirty-six tokens for the complete run. That covers titles such as My Best Friend's Bride and Room 742.
- Yes Ma'Am: twenty-eight paid episodes, three hundred and thirty-six tokens for the complete run.
Put together, the long series costs as much as nine complete short ones and one more paid episode, which deserves a moment of thought.
How to reason about them
Do not think of tokens as a total you owe. Think of each one as an optional step. You never have to commit to a whole run in advance, so you can pay for one episode, see how you feel and stop there. The trap is sunk cost: having paid for two episodes of a five-part story, you will feel obliged to pay for the last one even if it has stopped being fun. Decide on each episode by asking only whether the next one is worth twelve tokens to you. We do not convert tokens into money on this site, because that would require figures we do not have. See what the app shows when you buy.
The subscription plans, as listed
These are the plan prices given to us, with no commentary added:
- 12 months: $3.99 per month ($47.88 per year)
- 3 months: $8.99 per month
- 1 month: $9.99 the first month, then $13.99
- 2 weeks: $9.79
- 1 week: $5.60
This list does not tell you how many tokens any plan includes, so we will not guess. Before you commit, check that on the plan screen, as well as the renewal terms. Prices can change, and the screen in front of you is what counts over anything printed here.
A sensible order of operations
Watch free episodes first, since they settle most decisions at no cost, and the guide to the openers covers what to look for. Next, work out honestly how many paid episodes you expect to want in total. Then check the plan screen with that number in mind, because a single short series and a thirty-episode run are very different purchases.
